Lagos Hotel Sealed After Hotelier Caught in Alleged Same-Sex Act, Escapes Arrest

A hotelier in Meiran, a suburb of Lagos, is on the run after being caught in an alleged homosexual act with another man.

Acting on a tip-off, security operatives raided the hotel and reportedly caught the hotelier in the act.

In Nigeria, same-sex relationships are illegal and carry severe penalties under the law.

Sources suggest that the hotel, whose name has been withheld, has long been suspected of serving as a refuge for same-sex activities.

During the raid, the hotelier reportedly pleaded with the security operatives to be discreet and promised to cooperate.

He requested to be allowed to dress up before accompanying them to Panti, the Lagos State Criminal Investigation Department.

However, as the officers waited in the hotel’s reception, the hotelier managed to escape by scaling the fence, evading arrest.

His partner, described as his “lover boy,” was apprehended by the authorities.

The hotel’s manager was also taken into custody, and the premises have since been sealed off as investigations continue.
