The recess period of the House of Representatives will no longer end on September 17, 2024, as earlier announced, the Spokesman, Rep Akin Rotimi, disclosed on Wednesday.
Team@orientactualmags.com learned that the Clerk, Dr Yahaya Danzaria has also notified members of the House of Representatives of the new date, and they are now expected to return to Abuja on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
Recall that the Senate and the House of Representatives had announced the decision to break for recess on Tuesday, July 23, 2024, and had also announced plans to end the recess period on Tuesday, September 17.
Spokesman for the House of Representatives, Rep Akin Rotimi, noted in a statement he issued on Wednesday night that during the recess period, lawmakers had carried out outreach programmes peculiar to their constituencies.
