The House of Representatives will resume from its annual recess on September 24, 2024, at 11:00 am, instead of the previously scheduled date of September 17.
The change was communicated by the Clerk of the House, Dr. Yahaya Danzaria, following a directive from the House Leadership.
During the recess, Honourable Members were involved in constituency activities and conducted oversight functions as stipulated in the 1999 Constitution and House Standing Orders.
Upon resumption, the House will inaugurate the new board of the Public Complaints Commission (PCC) and set up the Ad-Hoc Committees on the Petroleum Industry for joint Senate-House investigation.
The 10th Assembly will continue pushing its legislative agenda, focusing on reforms that promote national development.
