Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has said he will watch developments in Edo guber polls from the sidelines considering his experience in the recent past.
Recall how Wike virtually carried Edo 2020 election on his head fighting all forces that wanted to make sure Obaseki did not return to Denis Osadebey Government House.
But his thank you gift from Obaseki were unprintable graffiti in the media which almost snowballed into a political war.
Also, the former Rivers State number one citizen expressed his disappointment with Governor Fubara, accusing him of spreading lies against him.
Wike did not elaborate on the details of the accusations but made it clear that he would no longer back the current Rivers State leader.
In the same interview, Wike also made a striking statement ahead of the upcoming Edo State governorship election, scheduled for September 21. He vowed not to support the incumbent Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki, or the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate Asue Ighodalo, who is being supported by Obaseki.
