EID-EL-MAUHLUD: Reps Minority Caucus Felicitates With Muslims, Solicits Prayers For Peace And Economic Growth Of Nigeria

The House of Representatives Minority Caucus felicitates with Muslims across Nigeria, Solicits Prayers for peace and economic growth of Nigeria as they celebrate Eid-El-Mauhlud.

This was contained in a message to Muslim faithful signed by the Caucus Leader, Rep Kingsley Chinda.

“On behalf of the Minority Caucus in the House of Representatives, I heartily congratulate the Muslim Ummah on the unique occasion of Eid-el-Mauhlud; marking the birth of Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.), Peace Be Upon Him.

“Indeed, it is a very unique day for every Muslim faithful, as it is of immense spiritual significance which gives everyone the onerous opportunity to mark the birth of Prophet Muhammad, reflect on his teachings, and renew their commitment to live according to his principles of faith, kindness, and compassion to people.

“As our Muslim brethren across the country join others around the world to celebrate, the Caucus admonish all to imbibe and practice these life-changing and enduring virtues.

“The Caucus also wish to admonish the Muslim Ummah, while reflecting on the significance of the celebration to seek Allah’s protection, and guidance over all Nigerians our Leaders and plant in us the desire to do what is right, and just at all times, and in every situation. We also call on our Muslim brethren, and all Nigerians to use this historical occasion of Eid-el-Mauhlud to offer supplications for the peace, unity, protection, prosperity, general well-being, and development of our dear country and the citizenry.

“In the same vein we urge the government to give the citizens the reason to celebrate and in the spirit of the season discontinue all trials of protesters to Foster peace.
