Paris Saint-Germain needed a late dose of luck to beat Girona 1-0 in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.

The Ligue 1 champions toiled against the debutants at home for 88 minutes without finding the back of the net.

However, Nuno Mendes’ low cross was fumbled into his own net by goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga.

England Under-21 winger Jamie Gittens’ double set last year’s Champions League finalists Borussia Dortmund on their way to a 3-0 victory at Club Brugge. Serhou Guirassy scored the third from the penalty spot.

Manchester City and Inter Milan played out a goalless draw at the Etihad.

In Scotland, Celtic thrashed Slovan Bratislava 5-1 to record their biggest win in the competition ever.

Gary Neville Predicts Arsenal Vs Manchester City Sunday Match

Manchester United legend Gary Neville has backed Arsenal to beat Manchester City 3-0 when both teams clash in the Premier League on Sunday.

Arsenal will host Pep Guardiola’s side at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday evening.

The Gunners head into the game following a 1-0 win against Wolves in their last Premier League match.

City, on the other hand, defeated Chelsea 3-1 at the Etihad Stadium.

“I’m going to go with Arsenal 3-0. I thought City were there for the taking last Saturday against Chelsea,” Neville said on Stick to Football.

“I was really disappointed with Chelsea. I just think Arsenal will have too much intensity, and I think it will be one of those games where, if they get a goal, they will just pull away from City.”

Arsenal currently sit in second position on the Premier League table, while City occupy fourth place.

The last time both teams met was at the Etihad Stadium last September.

At the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations, Tanzania’s head coach, Hemed Suleiman Ali, has stated that his squad will be prepared for the Super Eagles and their other Group C opponents.

Former winners The other nations in the group are Uganda and Tunisia.

The East Africans are the lowest-ranked team in the group.

Although Ali acknowledged that the group is difficult, he maintained that they will put up a strong fight to get to the next round.

“We are ready. We saw who we are going to play with. I think it’s a tough group, but it’s tough for all of them. There is no easy group,” the gaffer told Cafonline.

“If you have qualified for this stage of the competition, you have to prepare. We know who we are facing, and we know how we will prepare for them. There is no other way, we have to prepare well and represent our people well at this tournament.”

The Taifa Stars will take on Nigeria in their opening fixture at the Complexe Sportif de Fès on Tuesday, December 23.

When Neymar Jr. relocated from Santos to Barcelona in 2013, his journey into European football officially began.
