Netizens in Nigeria are reacting after Nigeria clergyman Pastor E.A Adeboye tendered a public apology over his comment on Tithing.
In a video captured online, the Redeemed Christian Church of God founder admitted that his statement saying those who don’t pay tithe wouldn’t make heaven is wrong as it isn’t stated in the Bible. He noted how what the Bible talks about is following peace with all men and holiness without which no man shall see God.
His apology was well received by netizens who praised him for his maturity.
One Sandy Coco wrote, “I love the fact he acknowledged his mistake and apologized in public. Kudos to him
One Engineer Tina wrote, “A pastor who acknowledges a mistake? Even the Bible encourages that, it was good of him

A year back, popular clergyman and founder of Deeper Life, Pastor Kumuyi, had shared an important sermon to Christians, advising Christians to give their offerings to the pøor and unemployed in the community. Kumuyi advised Christians not to spend money on building churches but also help their poor neighbours who cannot afford basic life needs.
In December, Charly Boy posed an important question to Nigerians on the essence of religion as he reacted to a viral video of Pastor Adeboye demanding offerings ranging from N100 million to N1 billion. Calling religion a business, he stated that most clergymen, whom he considers as God of men, are into Jesus’ enterprise.
