Zazzau, also known as the Zaria Emirate, is a traditional state with headquarters in the city of Zaria, Kaduna State, Northwest Nigeria.
Alhaji Umar Shehu Idris, also known as Dan Isan Zazzau, was involved in the accident on Tuesday afternoon, Daily Trust reports.

His death comes just 39 days after the passing of his biological mother, the wife of the late Emir Dr. Shehu Idris, and mother-in-law of the current Emir, Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli.
Mallam Abdullahi Aliyu Kwarbai, the Media and Publicity Officer of the emirate, confirmed the tragic news to the newspaper and stated that the burial arrangements would be announced in due time.
