The spokesman of Opposition Lawmakers Coalition, Rep. Ikenga Ugochinyere has commended the new Acting National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Alhaji Yayari Mohamed over his decision to resume work.
Ugochinyere in a statement on Sunday in Abuja, said the decision of the new acting chairman reveals that he understands the urgency to reposition the party for greater electoral fortunes ahead of 2027 election.
According to him, it shows that the National chairman understands the “urgent desire of members of the hitherto biggest political part in Africa sanitize the system, restore internal democracy to restore peace and cohesion in the party”.
Rep. Ugochinyere who represent ideato North and South in the House of Representstives said this has rekindled hope among the PDP family.
He therefore reiterated their commitment to support the resolve of the new leadership to ensure a rapid reform of our party.
