Bandits kill two, abduct APC chairman, 13 others in Katsina

Suspected terrorists launched a deadly attack on Dan Auta village in Sabuwa Local Government Area of Katsina State in the early hours of the weekend. The assault, which occurred around 2 a.m., resulted in the death of two individuals, including a security operative from the Katsina State Community Watch Corps (KSCWC).

During the attack, the terrorists abducted 13 residents, including women, children, and Alhaji Imamu, the chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the area.

Eyewitnesses revealed that the attackers arrived on motorcycles, heavily armed with automatic weapons, and swiftly overpowered local security and vigilante efforts. A KSCWC operative was fatally shot while attempting to repel the assailants, and another resident was killed for resisting abduction.

Several residents sustained injuries and have been receiving treatment at the local healthcare centre.
