How my friend ruined my marriage – Ronke Odusanya
Renowned Nollywood actress Ronke Odusanya has shared details about the alleged role a close friend played in the breakdown of her marriage to Saheed Olarewaju, widely known as Jago.
Speaking with her colleague, Bimpe Akintunde, Odusanya revealed how damaging accusations made by this friend led to distrust and ultimately contributed to the end of her marriage.
Odusanya claimed her friend falsely informed Jago that she intended to leave him and pursue a life in prostitution.
Furthermore, the friend alleged that she was romantically involved with a senator and had taken their daughter, Fife, to spend a night at the senator’s house.
Reflecting on these events, the actress recounted her disbelief and distress upon hearing the accusations. “A friend of mine told him that I wanted to leave him and go into prostitution. That when I left that night, I went to sleep in a senator’s house with Fife. When he told me, my mouth was left open,” she said.
To counter the accusations, Odusanya gathered evidence, recording her location and timestamped moments with her daughter, which she later shared with Jago. Despite these efforts, she noted that the ordeal left her in a vulnerable position financially and emotionally. “When we left, I didn’t have up to N10,000 in my account… all my jewelry was taken away,” she revealed, adding that she struggled to find a new place to stay.
Odusanya also mentioned that Jago later regretted listening to her friend’s claims, realizing the harm they had caused.
