The National Examination Council (NECO) has announced adjustments to the timetable for the Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE) External, citing the upcoming Ondo State governorship election as the reason for the changes. This information was communicated through a news flash on NECO’s official website on Monday.
Titled “Adjusted 2024 SSCE External Timetable,” the notice encourages candidates to review the revised schedule for any changes, particularly noting alterations to the examination date falling on Saturday, November 16, 2024, when the election will take place.
Candidates are reminded of important registration deadlines as follows: standard registration will close on November 6, 2024, with late registration set to commence the following day, November 7. Additionally, walk-in registration will be available starting November 13, but both late and walk-in registrations will incur additional fees.
NECO urges examination candidates to act swiftly and stay updated to avoid any last-minute issues regarding their registration and examination schedules. The revised timetable, along with the original, can be accessed on the NECO website.
