Tinubu Congratulates Trump on Re-election as US President

President Bola Tinubu extends his heartfelt congratulations to President Donald Trump on his re-election as the 47th President of the United States of America.

President Tinubu looks forward to strengthening the ties between Nigeria and the United States amid the complex challenges and opportunities of the contemporary world.

Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President, (Information & Strategy) in a statement quoted President Tinubu as saying “Together, they can foster economic cooperation, promote peace, and address global challenges that affect citizens of both countries.

According to President Tinubu, Trump’s victory reflects the trust and confidence the American people have placed in his leadership.
He congratulates them on their commitment to democracy.

President Tinubu believes that, given President Trump’s experience as the 45th president of the United States from 2017 to 2021, his return to the White House as the 47th president will usher in an era of earnest, beneficial, and reciprocal economic and development partnerships between Africa and the United States.

Acknowledging the United States’ influence, power, and position in determining the trend and course of global events, the Nigerian leader trusts that President Trump will bring the world closer to peace and prosperity.

Nigeria Congratulates Trump On Victory As Incoming President Of USA

The Federal Republic of Nigeria has congratulated the incoming President of the United States of America, Donald Trump on his victory in the Presidential election.
This was contained in a statement by the Spokesperson, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Amb. Eche Abu-Obe, on Wednesday in Abuja.
The statement reads: “Nigeria wishes the 47th President of the United States of America great success in steering the affairs of the country and further assures of continued support and cooperation in matters of international peace and security.
“The Federal Republic of Nigeria applauds the Democratic contestant, Kamala Harris, for her efforts and contributions during her tenure as the Vice President of the United States of America.
“In the same vein, Nigeria also applauds outgoing President, Joe Biden, for his leadership and service to the American people”.
 Naijablitznews.com reports that Trump defeated the incumbent Vice President, Kamala Harris.

#EndBadGovernance protests: Reps Minority Caucus demand punitive measures against perpetrators, hail Tinubu, AGF for releasing minors

Following the immediate release of about 76 young kids charged for terrorism, treason, and arson by the Nigerian Police Force for participating at the #EndBadGovernance protest, the Minority Caucus of the House of Representatives lauds President Bola Tinubu for being responsive to calls by Nigerians, and the international community.

“We commend President Tinubu for his prompt directive, coming few days after the arraignment of the children which led to the Attorney-General of the Federation seeking to assume control, and termination of the suit charge entirely.

“While we extol the President for the timely intervention, the Caucus strongly canvass for the possible investigation, prosecution, and discipline of individuals, and government agencies involved in the despicable, callous, and inhuman action that has led to national disgrace, and global condemnation.

” Anybody, and institution that played roles in the hounding of the children into cells for about 95 days when they should be at their respective schools, trades, and vocations must be brought to book for necessary public umbrage, and punitive measures discharged to serve as deterrent to others.

“Conscious of the psychological trauma, and health challenges the children may have experienced, we appeal that quality reformatory therapy sessions, and medical support be advanced to them as they unite with their respective families.

“Also, we call for immediate reparation packages to the victims and their families to ameliorate the untoward hardship, pain, and emotional torture suffered during the period of unlawful incarceration.

SAD! Ex-VP Sambo loses brother, Suleiman

The brother of the ex- Vice President Arc Mohammed Namadi Sambo, Alhaji Suleiman Sambo, is dead.

He died on Monday at the age of 82 after a long illness.

Alhaji Suleiman Sambo is survived by his wife, 11 children, 52 grandchildren, and 38 great-grandchildren.

Until his death, he served in the Department of Government Printing within the defunct Ministry of Information and Home Affairs, Kaduna State, retiring as a Chief Superintendent in 1994 after 35 years of dedicated service.

Alhaji Suleiman Sambo’s funeral was held on Tuesday at the Bashama Road Cemetery.

The service was attended by family members, relatives, and sympathizers, including former Vice President Namadi Sambo, as well as religious and traditional leaders.
