US election: Netayanhu opens up on Trump’s victory

Israeli Prime Minister, Benjamin Netanyahu has congratulated the United States of America’s President-elect, Mr. Donald Trump, saying that his victory at the polls would offer a new beginning for America.

In a message of felicitations he jointly sign with his wife, Sara, Netanyahu, while dubbing Trump’s victory as ‘history’s greatest comeback’, also noted that his second coming would offer a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America.

Netanyahu’s message read “Dear Donald and Melania Trump, Congratulations on history’s greatest comeback!

Your historic return to the White House offers a new beginning for America and a powerful recommitment to the great alliance between Israel and America.This is a huge victory!”.

Mr. Donald Trump, a former US president who was the presidential candidate of the Republican Party, had lost the 2020 presidential election to his rival and Democratic Party’s candidate, Mr. Joe Biden.

The 2024 US presidential runner-up, Kamala Harris is a member of the Democratic Party. As the 2024 presidential candidates, they represent opposing sides of the political spectrum.

Trump, a businessman has been associated with the Republican Party throughout his political career, while Harris, a lawyer and former US Senator and outgoing Vice President, has been a prominent figure in the Democratic Party.

Their differing party affiliations reflect fundamental differences in their policy positions and political ideologies.
