A group under the auspices of Arewa Christians and Indigenous Pastors Association (ACIPA) has extended its heartfelt congratulations to Donald Trump on his election as the 47th President of the United States of America.
In an open letter signed by its Chairman, Rev. Luke Shehu, on Monday and made available to Naijablitznews.com, ACIPA described Trump’s victory as both “a daunting task” and “an obvious miracle,” emphasizing its spiritual significance.
“ACIPA is honoured to congratulate you on behalf of our organization, which is committed to promoting Christ’s spiritual and social mandate through evangelism, peace, security, and the rule of law,” the letter stated.
Rev. Shehu who noted that ACIPA had been praying for the U.S. elections, acknowledged America’s critical global influence both spiritually and physically and said Trump’s election was a reflection of “God’s will” through the American people.
“This victory is for America, the State of Israel, and the free world at large,” Rev. Shehu wrote, adding that the association would continue to pray for the U.S. to uphold justice and righteousness under Trump’s leadership.
“Your leadership in America will either reflect for good or evil globally and especially in Nigeria,” it stated.
Rev. Shehu expressed optimism about Trump’s presidency, describing it as “hard-earned but well-deserved” and ordained by God.
The letter concluded with a reminder of the global impact of America’s policies, particularly on Nigeria and Africa.
