The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has officially launched the construction of the Kabisa-Ketti Road, promising its completion either before or during the second anniversary of President Bola Tinubu’s administration. During the flag-off ceremony, Wike assured residents that funding for the project was secured, emphasizing that this initiative would not follow the fate of past abandoned projects.
Wike stated that financial concerns would not hinder progress, emphasizing that the current administration is committed to delivering projects without abandoning them. The road project aims to improve connectivity for residents of Kabisa and Ketti while also enhancing security in the region.
“For the first time, we are not only providing roads but also street lights, which will contribute to better security,” Wike noted. He also reiterated that the initiative was part of the “renewed hope agenda,” which focuses on ensuring balanced development in all areas, including satellite regions.
In his address, Wike extended condolences to the community for the tragic loss of their traditional ruler, acknowledging the ongoing grief among the people.
Additionally, Wike announced plans to improve educational facilities in Ketti, revealing that a senior secondary school would soon be established in the area.
