U.S. Mass Deportation Plans: ICE Arrested Nearly 1,000 On Sunday
A nationwide immigration crackdown on Sunday resulted in the arrest of 956 people, the most since Donald Trump returned to power, according to Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).
A number of federal agencies with newly expanded detention powers were involved in the raids in a number of cities including Chicago, Newark and Miami.
Trump came to power after making mass deportations of undocumented immigrants a central campaign promise. His predecessor Joe Biden carried out an average of 311 immigration deportations daily, according to ICE, mostly individuals who had committed crimes Since taking office, Trump has carried out 21 executive actions to overhaul the US immigration system.

True to his words when he emerged FCT minister that he was going to turn FCT into a massive construction site, Nyesom Wike has manifested his promise.
The President Bola Tinubu Renewed Hope Agenda is truly blowing good wind in Abuja as Wike manifests his promise.
Naijablitznews reports that from last week Monday till Friday, the FCT minister and his officials traversed the entire FCT commissioning road projects .
The six area councils had one project or the other commissioned by the tireless minister.
From Kuje to Abaji, Gwagwalada, Bwari, Kwali, Sabouri and other areas, Wike and his men were on their feet.
