The Abdulrahman Mohammed led Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has vowed that it would take over the party’s headquarters next Monday.
This is coming barely hours after the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, on Thursday endorsed the Committee.
The commission allowed representatives from the Caretaker Commttee to attend its first quarterly stakeholders’ meeting with political parties in 2026.
Briefing newsmen after the meeting, factional National Secretary of the PDP, Samuel Anyanwu, said “by next Monday, we will take over the PDP headquarters”.
The party has been facing an unending leadership imbroglio, splitting it into two factions.
The endorsed national committee recently scheduled a national convention for March 28–29, 2026.
