INEC declares Ogun Speaker polling unit inconclusive

The election at the polling unit of the of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Olakunle Oluomo, representing Ifo Constituency 1 has been declared inconclusive.

The returning of the , Prof. Olusegun Onabanjo, said Oluomo, a candidate of the All Progressives Congress, had a total of 7,379 votes while his closest rival, Ogundele Okikiola of the , polled 6411, and Wemimo Owolabi of the African Democratic Congress polled 3207 votes.

The returning officer said, “Due to over-voting observed in unit 04 of ward one, the election is hereby declared inconclusive.”

The affected polling unit is the unit of the state Chairman of the , Sikirulah Ogundele, whose son, Okikiola, is also the PDP candidate for the constituency.
