At approximately 8:30pm of today, a distress call was received by the LASEMA agency regarding a fire outbreak at Doyin bus stop inwards orile Koka aguda LCDA, in Lagos state.
In a Statement issued by Dr Olufemi Damilola Oke-Osanyintolu, PS LASEMA.
Immediately, the emergency response team and the Agency's fire service were activated and dispatched to the scene of the incident.
According to eyewitnesses, a loaded gas tanker was engulfed by the flames, however, the cause of the fire is yet to be established. Fortunately, there were no reported casualties.
Efforts are currently underway by the Agency's response team, Lagos state fire service, federal fire service, and the Police to extinguish the inferno and halt its spread.
The fire has been curtailed by the LASEMA Fire Unit and the Lagos State Fire Service, while efforts are still ongoing to extinguish the fire completely.
