NAHCON Chairman inaugurates 2023 Hajj Medical Operation Committee

As part of the preparations for the upcoming Hajj in 2023, the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria has constituted a medical operations committee.

The 17-member committee will be responsible for ensuring the screening and selection of applicants for the National Medical Team 2023 as well as the health and well-being of pilgrims during the annual Hajj pilgrimage.

The inaugural ceremony was held at headquarters in Abuja. In his remarks, Chairman/CEO of NAHCON, Alhaji Zikirullahi Hassan, represented by Commissioner of Operations Alhaji Abdullahi Magaji Hardawa, expressed gratitude to the members who are to serve on the committee, emphasizing how important they will be to the success of the pilgrimage.

Terms of Reference of the Committee

1. Determine the overall implementation strategy for the medical operation to promote teamwork and synergy

ii. Identification of clinics to be used in Makkah during Hajj operations.

iii. Test Run the EMR and ensure that it is fully integrated into the NAHCON Operation

iv. To screen and select applicants for 2023 Hajj medical operations

v. Appointment and Orientation of the National Medical Team (NMT) members

vii. To ensure data capture and visa processing for medical personnel

viii. To ensure registration of medical supplies permit on E-track system
