The Taraba State Governorship Candidate of the All Progressive Congress APC, Senator Emmanuel Bwacha has rounded up his campaign in jalingo the state capital, promising to operate a transparent government if elected into power come 18th March 2023.
He added that his administration if given the mandate would also look into area of Civil Service restoration.
“The Civil Service shall be purged of its current sorry state of inefficiency brought mainly by politicization and trivialization as engine room of government.
“We will reverse the politicization and damage done to the state civil service. We will expedite actions on the issue of pension and gratuity of retired workers in all sectors, ensure prompt promotion of civil servants and payment of incentives and benefits as of when due.
We will ensure Professionalization of the civil service according to relevant laws, strict compliance to the rule of seniority regarding placement and appointments in the civil service and depoliticize civil service in terms of employment, appointments and promotion.
Other areas according to him that he will take into consideration are, Social, Health, Agricultural and Educational restorations.
On the use of religion as means of campaigns by religious bodies, Senator Bwacha said,
“I am for all, both Christian Muslims and pegans. I was called by all religions to come and contest for the governor of Taraba State, so I don't discriminate. I am not after religious differences, but development.
“The opposition use huge money and religion to deprive me from contesting, but failed. Had it been the money was use to pay pensioners, it could have been far better.
“By the grace of God, we will bring change in the state, all activities would be transparent – he said.
Speaking, the State Chairman of the APC, Barrister Tukur El-Sudi urge Tarabans not to vote on the basis of religion and should not be deceived by religious bodies adding that religious matter is between Man and God.
On his part, the Director General, Bwacha Gubernatorial Gampaign Council and former Deputy Governor, Barrister Uba Maigari Ahmadu, appreciated Tarabans for supporting the party APC, during the last Presidential and National Assembly elections and urge them to do same in the coming Governorship and House of Assembly elections.
According to him, the state under the present administration of PDP, is under developed, adding that most of the projects in the state where projects of previous administrations carried out by either former Governor Jolly Nyame or Pharmacist Danbaba Danfulani Suntai of blessed memory.
“We will restore peaceful coexistence as it has been in the past.
