Taraba Governorship Candidates Congratulate Gov-elect

Governorship candidates in have congratulated elect, Lt. Col. Kefas Agbu (Rtd) on his victory in the just concluded governorship and House of Assembly elections.

The Social Democratic Party (SDP) governorship candidate for Taraba State, Hon. Danladi Baido congratulated his Peoples Democratic Party () counterpart, Lt.-Col. Agbu Kefas over his victory, urged him to take his victory as an act of God and bring all the people in the state into one-fold as the electioneering campaign was divided along so many lines.

The SDP candidate in a press statement by Anthony Maliki, his Special Assistant on Media noted that this is the time to move forward and develop the state rather than witch-hunt.

According to him, at a time like this, there must be show of maturity among the gubernatorial contestants and supporters there could only be one winner at a time.

He called on the Governor-elect to quickly put in place a healing process to put everybody on the same page even before his inauguration so as to give a sense of purpose for all.

Similarly, the gubernatorial candidate of on his part, called his counterpart in the PDP, Lt Col Kefas Agbu rtd, to congratulate him on his election as the next governor of Taraba State.

In a statement issued by the
Publicity Secretary of his campaign organization, Mr. Aaron Artimas, informed his political caucus and the APC State Executive Committee that he took the decision to congratulate COL Kefas in the interest of the peace and tranquility of the state.

“I reasoned that Taraba is in dire need of peace and unity at this critical period of political experience.

The APC Gubernatorial Candidate appealed to the party's members and supporters to accept the reality of the latest developments in the interest of the state.

While the Gubernatorial candidate of the , Senator Danlami Ikenya, Congratulates the Governor elect, Lt. Col. Kefas Agbu (Rtd) on his victory in the March 18 2023 election. His message reads:

“On behalf of my family, I congratulate you on your emergence as the Governor Elect of Taraba State in the just concluded governorship elections held on Saturday 18th March 2023 under the platform of the People's Democratic Party (POP)

Your campaign slogan of Moving Taraba Forward is one which encapsulates the whole yearning of the masses and we expect that you will hit the ground running as you face this daunting task. The task ahead is enormous but the fact that you have goodwill from across board should make the task a bit easy for you and we hope that you will use this goodwill to make Imolites proud of you.

I urge you to dare to be different. A lot of trust and confidence has been bestowed upon you and we expect that you do not disappoint

I wish you God's wisdom, strength, direction, and guidance to deliver on your mandate to your people. The work starts now!!!! It's time to write your name in gold – the message concluded.

In a similar development, the state Chairman, Youth Wing of the Christian Association of YOWICAN, Evangelist Jesse Ephesians said,

“The leadership of youth Wing CAN Taraba state congratulate His Excellency Lt Col. Dr Agbu Kefas Rtr the Governor elect Taraba state on his overwhelming victory at the poll.

Your Excellency we believe in your capacity and God at last granted you victory.

He also congratulate all that contested but couldn't make it now since God time is always the best.

” I encourage you to be patient and accept the will of God in good faith. Please join the Governor elect to better the life of her citizens.

He call on all youths from the various political parties who have several interest to come together as one for the progress of the state.

“I urge you all to bury the past and let's all rally round the Governor elect to better our lives.

“You should forgive one another and step down all forms of bitterness and embrace one another in the spirit of love as we enjoy the deviden of democracy – he added.
