Troops invade ISWAP hideout, kill commander, 41 others in Borno+photos

from Operation Hadin Kai, in collaboration with the Civilian Joint Task Force, stormed the Islamic State West Africa Province hideout in Dikwa Local Area of Borno State, killing 41 , including a commander, Abu Zahra, while others fled for their lives.

According to a counter-insurgency expert in the Lake Chad region, Zagazola Makama on Sunday, the troops eliminated the terrorists in a silent intelligence-led midnight offensive coordinated by Maj. Gen. Shaibu Waidi, the General Officer Commanding 7 Division and Commander Sector 1, in the villages of Mukdolo, GUPDILO, and Bone, located between Dikwa, Ngala, and Mafa.
