The pilots of both doomed U-208 aircraft were killed in the training flight accident over the Italian capital today.
A total of four aircraft belonging to the Italian Air Force 60th wing few from their base at Guidonia as part of a pre-planned training exercise.
Two of the planes collided and one lost a wing, reports say.
