A viral video depicting a group of individuals purportedly loyal to former Rivers State governor and current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Nyesom Wike, has ignited a firestorm of controversy across social media platforms.
In the footage, individuals identified as Wike’s loyalists can be seen and heard singing what many have deemed to be a derogatory song targeting the incumbent Governor, Sim Fubara. The lyrics of the song are reported to contain phrases urging Governor Fubara to submit to the authority of Nyesom Wike.
The chant, “Fubara must obey Wike, Obey!” has captured attention and sparked intense debate among Nigerians, with opinions sharply divided over the implications and motivations behind such vocal demonstrations of allegiance.
