President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the appointment of former Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Prof. Attahiru Jega, as the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of the Governing Board of Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto, Sokoto State.
Prof. Jega, a renowned academic and public servant, will lead the governing board of the prestigious university, alongside other distinguished members, including: 
– Miss Mary Nyieor Yisa
– R. O. Kazeem
– Prof. Usman Musa
– Dr. Anthony Usoro
This appointment demonstrates President Tinubu’s commitment to excellence in education and his confidence in Prof. Jega’s leadership and expertise. Usmanu Danfodiyo University Sokoto is expected to benefit from Prof. Jega’s vast experience and guidance, further enhancing its reputation for academic excellence.
