Children, Se3ual and Gender-Based Violence Court in Awka, Anambra State has sentenced a teacher, Mrs Faith Nwoye, to 21 years imprisonment.
The teacher who is a staff member of Landmark International School Mgbakwu, Awka North Local Government Area of Anambra State flogged a nine-year-old student, Henry to death. 
Commissioner for Education, Prof Ngozi Chuma-Udeh condoled with the deceased’s family, the school, and State Government for the loss.
Chuma-Udeh who was represented at the burial by Director of Schools in the Ministry of Education, Mrs Ifeoma Onyeneke expressed despair that one of the State’s hopefuls was gone in a manner that could have been avoided.
She lamented that the little boy would have still beeen alive if he was enrolled in an approved school with qualified teachers.
The commissioner further reminded residents of the state that Governor Soludo had declared operation of illegal schools in the State, unlawful.
