Slot, who replaced Jurgen Klopp, has started his tenure perfectly with three wins from three Premier League games, putting Liverpool level with Manchester City at the top of the table.
Arne Slot made a strong debut as Liverpool manager with a convincing 3-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford, thanks to two goals from Luis Diaz and a strike from Mohamed Salah.
Meanwhile, United’s manager Erik ten Hag is under pressure after back-to-back defeats, just three games into the new season. Despite spending £200 million on new signings, United’s weaknesses were exposed by a dominant Liverpool side. Casemiro, at fault for both of Diaz’s goals, was substituted at halftime, highlighting United’s midfield struggles.
Liverpool’s defense was solid, with Alisson making key saves to keep a clean sheet, while Salah continued his impressive form against United, scoring his 15th goal in 16 games against them.
Despite early setbacks last season at Old Trafford, this time Liverpool showed no mercy, signaling they remain strong title contenders even without Klopp at the helm.
