Just in: Again, FG announces public holiday for all Nigerians

The federal government has declared Tuesday, October 1, 2024, as public holiday to commemorate the 64th Independence Day anniversary.

Minister of Interior, Dr. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo made the announcement on behalf of the federal government whole also congratulating Nigerians both at home and abroad on the occasion.

Dr. Tunji-Ojo in a statement signed by the Permanent Secretary in the ministry, Dr Magdalene Ajani, commended the diligent and resilient Nigerian populace, affirming that their sacrifices will yield positive outcomes.

He emphasised the importance of reflecting on the contributions of the nation’s heroes and drawing inspiration for the challenges ahead, recognising that a cohesive Nigeria can only be achieved through unity.

While wishing Nigerians a joyful Independence Day anniversary, Tunji-Ojo encouraged citizens to remain committed to the task of nation-building.
