National Vice President, North West of Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Bello Hayatu Gwarzo has insisted that the decision to recall the party’s national Secretary, Samuel Anyanwu was not done in a vacuum.
Recall that after the acting national president, Umar Damagun issued a statement recalling Anyanwu, 11 NWC members disowned it.
But in a brief statement, the National Vice President North West, declared that it was a collective decision to recall him.

“Our attention has been drawn to a statement by a section of the NWC of our party purportedly disowning the statement of the Ag. Chairman Ambassador Iliya Damagun who conveyed the decision to ask our National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, to return to his post.
“It is important to state that the decision to recall Senator Anyanwu did not happen in a vacuum.
” Following the interactive session between the party’s leadership and the leadership of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Tuesday, follow-up meeting on Wednesday, 25th June 2025 at PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza Wuse Zone 5 Abuja, mandated the acting National Chairman of the party to issue the statement recalling the national secretary.
