A fresh, youth-centric program is set to launch online, offering a unique blend of entertainment and civic education. As national discussions intensify ahead of upcoming elections, the Africana League — an initiative committed to youth development and leadership cultivation — has unveiled a new media project titled Nigeria House of Commons.

The program, debuting on July 30 exclusively via YouTube, is built around a competitive and participatory format. Young Nigerians will engage in a series of structured legislative simulations, crafted to mirror the inner workings of parliamentary processes. Over thirteen episodes, participants will represent all regions of the country, operating within two opposing groups that reflect differing governance philosophies.

Each session will feature debates, policy proposals, internal deliberations, and decision-making exercises — all designed to reflect the legislative atmosphere. Viewers will not remain passive; they’ll be invited to engage directly through polls, votes, and commentary by visiting the platform at https://www.africanaleague.org

This initiative aims to increase public understanding of governance while providing a platform for emerging voices in civic discourse — outside conventional political structures.

Speaking on the launch, Glory Ukwenga, founder and Executive Director of Africana League, shared her vision for the show “We are excited to launch a TV show that gives young Nigerians a firsthand look at the lawmaking process in Nigeria. As an organisation committed to educating youths on politics and governance, we created this show to empower them and to dismantle the myths around access to political participation.”

Nigeria House of Commons is not just a reality show; it’s a platform for civic education, youth advocacy, and the reimagining of Nigeria’s political future.

Set to air on YouTube from Wednesday, 30th of July on the show’s YouTube channel “Nigeria House of Commons”, viewers are enjoined to subscribe on the platform in anticipation and also register on the voting platform to vote for their favourite participants weekly at “https://www.africanaleague.org/”
