The housemates of Big Brother Naija Season 10, dubbed 10/10, have lost their first wager challenge for the season.

The task that took place on Friday required the housemates to put on a dramatic show with a ball theme and unmasking elements.

However, the wager task failed to impress Big Brother, fondly known as Biggie, with the final result.

“Such an unremarkable performance.

“Housemates, your presentation lacks imagination and substance.

“Big Brother’s verdict will be as disappointing as your performance. You have lost your wager,” he declared.

This development implies that the house will not receive new groceries or luxury items for the week, and housemates will have to rely on limited food supplies.

Biggie also warned the housemates about slow responses and microphone infringements during the task.

The weekly wager task in the Big Brother Naija reality TV show seeks to test housemates on their ability to work together, think creatively, and communicate effectively.

A successful wager earns housemates a restocked fridge and luxury essentials, while failure ultimately sparks tensions, blames, and drama in the house.

Davido reacts as President Tinubu calls his Uncle, Gov Adeleke, moments after he ordered EFCC to vacate court order freezing Osun state govt account

Award-winning Nigerian singer, David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has revealed that he was present when President Bola Ahmed Tinubu personally called Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke to inform him that he had directed the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) to lift the freeze placed on the state’s bank accounts.

The Afrobeats star made the disclosure on social media shortly after the Presidency confirmed that the President intervened in the matter, describing the moment as one of historical significance.

“I was there live! I witnessed history,” Davido wrote, suggesting that he personally witnessed the high-level telephone conversation between the President and the governor.

The development followed the EFCC’s decision to freeze the Osun State Government’s bank accounts on August 5, 2026, barely ten days before the state’s governorship election, a move that immediately generated widespread political reactions and concerns about its timing.

President Tinubu later issued a personal statement expressing discomfort over the action, saying he was “deeply embarrassed” by the timing of the account freeze because it could create the impression that the Federal Government was attempting to influence the forthcoming governorship election.

According to the President, regardless of the reasons behind the anti-graft agency’s decision, the action risked undermining public confidence in the electoral process and could be interpreted as federal interference in Osun State’s political affairs.

Following the President’s intervention, his Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, confirmed that Tinubu personally contacted Governor Adeleke to inform him that he had instructed the EFCC to reverse the decision and unfreeze the state’s accounts.

The reversal has since attracted significant public attention, particularly because it came after the President publicly distanced himself from the timing of the anti-corruption agency’s action.

Davido’s revelation that he witnessed the conversation has further fueled discussions online, with many social media users reacting to the singer’s proximity to the unfolding political development.

Governor Ademola Adeleke, who is seeking re-election in the upcoming governorship poll, is also Davido’s uncle, making the singer’s presence during the conversation unsurprising to many observers.

The lifting of the freeze is expected to allow the Osun State Government to regain access to its financial resources as preparations continue ahead of the governorship election.
