The Olotu and Ekuogbe Rowland Akpodiete Foundation recently organized a landmark lecture on Conflict Resolution and Neighborhood Watch to commemorate its 7-year anniversary. Held at the Unity Hall, Ughelli South LGA Secretariat, the event convened over 100 participants, comprising vigilante leaders and community members.
Representing the Executive Chairman of Ughelli South LGA, Hon. Lucky Avweromre, PhD, the Secretary, Olorogun John Akaruayen Ewenede, lauded the foundation’s initiative and encouraged participants to apply the knowledge acquired from the training.
CSP Olowole Oladipupo, Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ughelli South, commended the foundation, noting that the training would significantly reduce conflicts and crises in the LGA. 
In a keynote presentation, security expert Mr. Sylvester Obose emphasized the importance of collaboration between communities and law enforcement agencies in managing conflicts.
Chief Henry Abizor, speaking on behalf of the participants, expressed gratitude to the Executive Director, SPY ACP Olotu Akpodiete, PhD, for the initiative. SPY ACP Akpodiete appreciated the LGA Chairman and DPO for their attendance, urging participants to be proactive in addressing conflicts and reporting security threats.
The foundation also distributed security communication gadgets to vigilante groups in Ughievwen, Olomu, and Ewu, and mobile sound systems to community leaders, further enhancing their capacity to promote peace and security.
This training represents a significant step in the foundation’s mission to foster peace and security in Delta State.
