The lawmaker who answered questions from journalists at the Senate Press Centre saying that, “[on the creation of Ogoja State], I met with the President and this issue came up, I had a very positive response. And I assure my people that if one state is going to be created in addition to the existing 36 states , Ogoja State will be the one to be created.”

The lawmaker who dismissed concerns about leaving the PDP also stated that it’s “inconsequential” the platform he chooses to serve his people from, but more about the willingness to certify the yearnings of his people.
