Last Sunday, the presiding Pastor of Live for Christ Church in Abuja, Bishop Godwin Osagie Elim delivered a powerful message on the efficacy of the salt covenant.

Bishop Elim’s message centred primarily on five ways the salt covenant had played prominent roles in the lives of individuals and nations across the globe till date.
Drawing inferences from Mark 9:50 he said the importance of salt covenant is unbreakable and surprisingly it’s about the cheapest commodity in market.
He said salt has purity and this has been tested from generation to generation laying emphasis on the fact any covenant with salt is always purified. It’s a purifier that stands the test of time.

Thirdly, salt is a preservative from time immemorial. Drawing inferences from Leviticus 2:13 Bishop Elim said in biblical times the salt plays the role of the modern day cold room or better still the freezer “we use in our homes”.
Fourthly, he said the salt plays a judgemental role. Here he made reference to Chronicles 13:15-19.
Declaring that it plays a judgemental role in whatever it is used for.
Lastly, he told the congregation that salt has a positive effect on whatever it’s used for siting 2Kings 2:19-22.
Conclusively, Bishop Elim hammered on application of salt on religious matters stating that it’s a dangerous spiritual weapon that must be applied with a lot of caution at all times.
