Adeniyi Kayode was the driver of the vehicle conveying heavyweight boxing champion Anthony Joshua and two others, who died after the vehicle collided with a stationary truck along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

Ifeoluwa said the accident occurred after the vehicle’s brakes failed, adding that his father attempted to avoid the truck but was unsuccessful.

He noted that his father had driven Joshua for three years without incident. Meanwhile, the driver’s counsel, Olalekan Abiodun, described the crash as an unfortunate accident and maintained that his client was not reckless.
