CAF stressed that the goalkeeper did not accumulate enough bookings to warrant a ban. He is therefore cleared for the semi-final.

The clarification was sent directly to the Nigeria Football Federation. The message eased concerns within the Super Eagles camp.

Alongside the clarification, CAF forwarded an official list of Super Eagles players suspended for the semi-final.

The affected players were banned due to accumulated yellow cards. CAF rules mandate automatic suspension after two bookings.

Only yellow cards before the quarter-final stage are cleared. Cards received later remain active.

Sources within the NFF confirmed receipt of CAF’s letter. The coaching crew has adjusted preparations accordingly.

The Super Eagles continue training with focus and determination. The team remains confident despite the enforced absences.

Nigeria is chasing a place in the AFCON final. Discipline and tactical discipline will be crucial in the semi-final clash.
