Gunmen have abducted Ambassador Bashir Isa Gusau, the North-West Youth Leader of the Tinubu and Shettima campaign organisation in Zamfara State.
The incident was made public on Thursday through a post on X by security analyst Bakatsine, who revealed that over 30 armed men stormed Gusau’s home in Gusau town and whisked him away in front of his wife.
The abduction reportedly left the family in distress. 
Security agencies were immediately alerted, but efforts to locate the campaign leader have so far been unsuccessful.
Bakatsine queried the continued insecurity in the state, highlighting the persistent threat of banditry in Zamfara.
As of the time of filing this report, there has been no official comment from security authorities regarding the abduction.
