Super Eagles slam Iran 2-1 in international friendly
Nigeria slammed Iran 2-1 in an international friendly played in Antalya, Turkey on Friday afternoon.
Eric Chelle named a strong side for the game amid the absence of Victor Osimhen and Stanley Nwabali.
It paid off as Moses Simon opened the scoring as early as the sixth minute, with a mazy dribble and sharp finish.
The Super Eagles doubled their lead after the break thanks to Akor Adams, after fine work from Ademola Lookman.
Mehdi Taremi pulled one back for Iran.
Nigeria’s next match is another friendly against Jordan on Tuesday.
This match was part of a four-nation invitational tournament, which also includes Jordan and Costa.

FA Cup: Nnadozie helps Brighton beat Arsenal, qualify for semis
Super Falcons goalkeeper Chiamaka Nnadozie put up an impressive display to help Brighton beat Arsenal 2-0 in the quarter-final of the English Women’s FA Cup on Sunday.
Nnadozie recorded her third consecutive clean sheet in the game.
The shot stopper also shut out Leicester City and Liverpool in Brighton’s previous league fixtures.
Madison Haley, and Caitlin Hayes were on target for Brighton against the European champions.
Nnadozie has eight clean sheets in 18 appearances across all competitions for the Seagulls this season.
The 25-year-old joined Brighton on a free transfer in the summer.

FA Cup semi-final fixtures confirmed [Full List]
The draw for the FA Cup semi-finals have been conducted on Sunday evening.
In the first tie, Chelsea will face Leeds United for a place in the final.
The Blues had thrashed Port Vale 7-0 at Stamford Bridge to qualify, while Leeds needed penalties to see off Premier League rivals West Ham.
The second semi-final will see Manchester City take on Southampton at Wembley.
City, who hammered Liverpool 4-0 on Saturday, are eyeing an eighth FA Cup title when they face the Saints who eliminated Arsenal.
The matches will be played on April 25 and 26.

FA Cup: Three teams confirmed for semi-finals
Three teams have qualified for the semi-finals of the FA Cup following Saturday’s matches.
They are Manchester City, Chelsea and Southampton.
City booked their spot with a 4-0 thrashing of Liverpool in the first game of the day, with Erling Haaland scoring a hat-trick.
In the second game of the day, Chelsea hammered Port Vale 7-0 at Stamford Bridge.
Arsenal were eliminated from a second competition in the space of three weeks, after losing 2-1 at Southampton.
The last quarter-final game will see West Ham take on Leeds United on Sunday.
