Prominent members of Nigeria’s major opposition political party, in Nigeria, the Peoples Democratic Party PDP have expressed their firm belief in the party as they pour out views at the ongoing National Convention being held in Abuja today, 29th of March, 2026.
Former Senate President, Dr Abubakar Bukola Saraki apparently impressed by the massive attendance of delegates from different parts of the Nigerian federation said:
“With this multitude inside this velodrome and the massive crowd outside, the PDP has come to remain. 
Leader of the party, Chief Nyesom Wike in his address thanked the resilience of the members who remained with the umbrella party despite all the caterpillars and cankerworms that invaded the party.
On his part, the leader of the opposition in the Senate, Senator Abba Moro had this to say:
“I urge every member of our great party to commend Wike for ensuring the party stays.
He urged the NWC l, leaders of the party to work as one family to ensure the party attains greater heights of excellence.
Leader of the opposition in the House of Representatives, Rep Ogundu Kingsley Chinda declared that: “This night has confirmed that PDP is alive, and will achieve much., we must come together, and work as a family to recover our mandate next year.
