The governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (Peoples Democratic Party) in the ongoing Ekiti State governorship election, Dr. Wole Oluyede, has rejected aspects of the conduct of the poll, alleging widespread irregularities and vowing to challenge the process in court if the issues persist.

Oluyede made the allegations on Saturday shortly after arriving to cast his vote at Polling Unit 6, Ward 3, Osagulu Hall, in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti State capital.

He accused the Independent National Electoral Commission (Independent National Electoral Commission) and security agencies of actions that, according to him, could undermine the credibility of the election.

The PDP candidate expressed frustration over what he described as an unusual delay in the commencement of voting, despite the early arrival of both voters and election materials at the polling unit.

According to him, sensitive election materials had arrived early, while voters—including himself—had gathered at the location as early as 6:30 a.m. However, by 9:45 a.m., voting had yet to begin.

He said neither INEC officials nor security personnel offered any satisfactory explanation for the delay, leaving voters stranded and uncertain about when accreditation and voting would commence.

“The security officials and INEC personnel, without giving any reasonable explanation, stalled the voting process and kept the people waiting for several hours. I joined other voters on the queue very early this morning, yet up till now there has been no clear explanation as to why voting has not started,” Oluyede said.

The PDP flag bearer further alleged that the situation reflected a broader pattern of intimidation and irregular conduct aimed at discouraging voter participation and weakening the integrity of the electoral process. He warned that the party would not hesitate to seek legal redress if the alleged irregularities continue, insisting that the will of the people must be respected. “We are documenting all these incidents. If these violations continue, we will meet them in court.

The people of Ekiti deserve a free, fair and transparent election, and we will pursue every lawful means to protect their mandate,” he added.

As of the time of filing this report, officials of INEC had not issued any public response to the allegations. The election is being closely monitored by security agencies, election observers, and political party agents across the state, including in key locations such as Ado-Ekiti.P

Popular Nollywood actor, Jim Iyke, has claimed that the entertainment industry is dominated by “demons” and created to “extol satanism.”

Speaking in a recent interview with media personality Joey Akan, Iyke claimed that most people in the entertainment industry serve themselves and extol themselves as demigods, which according to him is a virtue of satanism.

The movie star revealed that he once thought he was special because people cry and faint whenever he walks into a room but later realised that it was self-worship after finding God.

He explained that it takes conscious efforts for people in the entertainment industry to be connected to God and not self-worship or any form of satanism.

He said, “There is no bigger enabler than the entertainment industry. This is where demons live. Entertainment is totally created and orchestrated to extol the virtues of Satanism.

“What in the entertainment industry glorifies God except you intentionally or consciously pursue him? Is it the blatant life?

“What do we extol that is godly? I am not saying God doesn’t exist in the entertainment industry, I am saying the entertainment industry is predominantly created for satanism.

“As a creative, to create is to mimic God. But in the entertainment structure many serve self. You can’t serve God and serve self. That is a conflict of interest. Serving self is satanism itself.

“When you extol yourself to god-like status when you think you should be worshipped or the laws should not apply to you anymore, you are literally worshipped.

“I have been there. I have see people cry when I walked into a room and I look at them and I think I am special. No you are not.

‘Once you find your place with God, you will understand what is special. What is special is being able to find God in this place that is devoid of his presence

The Presidency has thrown its heavy weight behind the Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, over the recent controversy involving Peter Obi at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Abuja, insisting that the former Anambra State governor breached established parking regulations.

Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, said the facts presented by the aviation minister contradicted Obi’s claim that his vehicle was deliberately targeted by authorities.

The dispute stems from an incident on July 4, 2026, when Obi alleged that officials clamped the tyres of his vehicle at the Abuja airport as part of what he described as continued persecution by the Federal Government under President Bola Tinubu.

Following the allegation, Keyamo said he ordered an investigation into the matter. According to the minister, the findings showed that Obi’s vehicle was parked in violation of airport regulations and was clamped only after officials allowed sufficient time for it to be moved.

Keyamo maintained that Obi had already exited the vehicle before enforcement officers carried out the action, making it impossible for airport personnel to have identified the car as belonging to the opposition figure or singled him out for special treatment.

The minister further stated that after the police officer attached to Obi informed him that the vehicle had been clamped, the former presidential candidate secured its release without paying the prescribed penalty, despite what he described as a clear breach of airport security rules.

Reacting on his verified X account, Onanuga said the minister’s explanation had laid to rest claims that Obi was unfairly targeted.

He said, “Aviation Minister Festus Keyamo explains how Peter Obi’s car violated parking rules at the Airport, how it was clamped and how Peter Obi peddled his influence to get the car released without paying the mandatory fine. Keyamo has now decided that Peter Obi must pay the N25,000 fine for wrongful, illegal and dangerous parking.

“The Minister’s account of what happened on July 4 at Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport, Abuja, completely debunked Obi’s falsehood that he was unduly targeted and persecuted. The truth is that he and his police driver broke a simple parking rule at the Airport.”
