Speaking at the launch, Lartey said the application would enable prospective couples to make more informed decisions before committing to marriage.

According to the minister, the initiative is also aimed at promoting relationships founded on transparency and mutual respect, while contributing to efforts to prevent gender-based violence.

She said the launch offered couples an opportunity to approach marriage with greater awareness, responsibility and access to relevant information before making a lifelong commitment.

The minister stressed the importance of openness and informed decision-making in building healthy relationships and stronger families.

The introduction of Marrify is expected to provide prospective couples with an additional tool for carrying out due diligence before marriage, particularly in situations where uncertainty exists over a partner’s existing marital status.
