Arsenal were far from their best, but their champion spirit shone through as they came from behind to beat Leeds United 2-1 at the Emirates.
Leeds looked set for a historic first win at the Emirates when James Justin fired home from a tight angle in the 55th minute, capping a dominant spell against a strangely subdued Arsenal side.
But the Gunners hit back. Riccardo Calafiori levelled in the 62nd minute before Bruno Guimaraes completed the turnaround eight minutes later, drilling a superb finish into the bottom corner after slick interplay.
Arsenal squandered chances to extend their lead but held firm to secure the points, leaving Leeds to rue a promising performance that unravelled in 15 minutes.
It was not vintage Arsenal, but the comeback delivered the result that mattered—and another reminder that champions find a way to win.
