Justice Abdulmalik gave the order on Monday while ruling on a no-case submission filed by El-Rufai.

The judge dismissed the no-case submission, holding that the prosecution had presented sufficient evidence to warrant calling on the former governor to enter his defence.
Following the ruling, the court directed El-Rufai to open his defence if he chooses to do so.

Justice Abdulmalik subsequently adjourned the case until November 25 for the defence.
El-Rufai is facing trial over allegations bordering on the unlawful interception of Ribadu’s telephone communications.
