The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, will on Monday November 2, 2026, hold a live media briefing to highlight the achievements of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, particularly its projects and programmes across Northern Nigeria.
The briefing will also provide an opportunity for Abbas to present his scorecard as Speaker since June 13, 2023, review the achievements of the 10th House of Representatives and explain its working relationship with the Executive arm of government.
According to a statement issued on Sunday by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Musa Krishi, the Speaker is expected to present verifiable facts and figures on the policies, programmes and projects implemented by the Tinubu administration across the country, with particular attention to the North.
The statement said Abbas will highlight projects executed in Zaria Federal Constituency, Kaduna State, the North-West and other parts of the country.
The briefing follows a commitment made by Speaker Abbas during a meeting of the City Boy Movement with President Tinubu on October 19, 2026.
At the meeting, the Speaker had promised to provide details of the administration’s achievements within 14 days.
He said: “Within the next 14 days, I will convene a media briefing to set out, in verifiable detail, what President Tinubu has done for the people of Zaria Federal Constituency, for Kaduna State, for the North-West, and for Nigeria, through the office I hold.”
The statement said Monday’s engagement was in fulfilment of that promise.
It added that Abbas would use the opportunity to showcase what it described as life-changing policies, programmes and projects of the Tinubu administration, while presenting the legislative scorecard of the 10th House.
The Speaker is also expected to discuss the relationship between the legislature and the Executive, highlighting areas of cooperation and their contributions to governance and national development.
