Nollywood actress and African Action Congress (AAC) governorship candidate for Abia State, Doris Ogala, has reportedly been hospitalised after losing consciousness and suffering bleeding while in detention.
According to SaharaReporters, a source close to the actress raised the alarm in a video, revealing that he spoke with her over the phone while she was receiving medical attention at a hospital.
The source disclosed that Ogala told him she had lost consciousness, was bleeding and could not remember when she was taken to the hospital. 
In the alleged video, the actress was also heard confirming her condition and expressing concern about the bleeding, particularly in connection with complications from a previous operation.
The source’s account has raised concerns about the actress’s health and wellbeing while in detention, especially following reports that she required medical attention.
However, further details about her current condition and the circumstances surrounding her reported hospitalisation have yet to be established.
Ogala was remanded in custody over allegations of cyberstalking, cyberbullying and attempted extortion involving Pastor Chris Okafor, founder of Mountain of Liberation and Miracle Ministry. She has pleaded not guilty to the charges.
