Okon, in a testimony titled “How My Father Became Born Again from the Realm of the Spirit,” said her father’s spiritual life had been a major concern to her and that she had consistently prayed for him to know God personally and begin serving Him.

She said the experience began with a dream in which she found herself inside her father’s house.

According to her, she noticed a bag hanging on the wall containing a piece of wood tied with red cloth.

“I went straight to it and touched it, and immediately, it was consumed by fire,” she recounted.

Okon said that in the same dream, her father approached her and asked her to touch another object he allegedly relied on for protection.

She said the object was also consumed by fire before she woke up.

The prophetess said the significance of the dream became clearer after she returned to Nigeria and her brother informed her that their father had started attending church.

She said the development immediately reminded her of the dream, which she interpreted as a spiritual encounter connected to her prayers for her father’s salvation and deliverance.

According to Okon, her father has remained committed to Christianity and continues to attend church.

“Up until today, as I share this testimony, my father is still serving God. He does not joke with church, and he does not joke with his relationship with God,” she said.

Okon Interprets Dream as Spiritual Deliverance

Reflecting on the experience, Okon said she believed the hand she saw in the dream represented the hand of the Holy Spirit working through her in the spiritual realm.

She interpreted the destruction of the objects as symbolic of the breaking of spiritual bondage and the removal of things she believed her father had relied on for protection.

Citing John 8:36, she emphasised the Christian belief in the power of Jesus Christ to deliver and transform lives.

She also referenced 1 John 1:9, urging people to confess their sins, repent and seek God’s forgiveness.

The cleric encouraged Christians to examine their lives and identify anything they may be placing above their relationship with God.

She urged people to turn away from practices they consider ungodly and put their trust in Jesus Christ, stressing that genuine transformation begins with surrendering one’s life to God.

Prophetess Urges Families Not to Give Up on Loved Ones

Drawing lessons from the biblical account of Gideon in Judges 6, Okon highlighted God’s instruction to Gideon to destroy his father’s altar to Baal and cut down the Asherah pole before embarking on his divine assignment.

She said the account demonstrated the importance of confronting ungodly practices and remaining committed to God’s purpose.

Okon urged Christians not to stop praying for the salvation of their parents, siblings, children and other loved ones, regardless of their circumstances.

“My father began going to church, and today, he is still serving God. If God can touch a heart and transform a life, never conclude that your loved one is beyond His reach,” she said.

She also cited Luke 5:32, where Jesus said He came to call sinners to repentance, while encouraging those who had not embraced Christianity to give their lives to Jesus Christ.

Okon concluded the testimony with prayers for the salvation of families, deliverance from what she described as spiritual bondage and the restoration of people who had strayed from God.

Under her Wonders of EL-ROI theme, she reaffirmed her message of hope, saying God can reach people, transform their lives and give them a new beginning.
