Cristiano Ronaldo scored his 982nd career goal as Al-Nassr defeated Al-Faisaly 3-1 in the Saudi Pro League on Friday.
The Al-Nassr captain doubled his side’s advantage with a powerful header as the Riyadh-based club secured all three points at the King Salman Sport City Stadium.
Ronaldo, who is currently suspended at international level, celebrated the victory on social media after the match, posting pictures of himself and his teammates with the caption, “Cristiano, Let’s go.”
The victory moved Al-Nassr to second place in the Saudi Pro League standings with 25 points from 10 matches.
Ronaldo will now turn his attention to Al-Nassr’s AFC Champions League campaign, with the club scheduled to face Al Wasl on Monday.
The 41-year-old forward has enjoyed a decorated career with Sporting Lisbon, Manchester United, Real Madrid and Juventus before joining Al-Nassr.
