The Minister of Education, Tunji Alausa, has described President Bola Tinubu as a genius, claiming that he graduated with a first-class degree in Accounting from Chicago State University in the United States.
Alausa made the statement during Channels Television’s Politics Today programme on Tuesday, November 3.
The minister urged Nigerians to disregard opposition criticism of Tinubu’s academic credentials, insisting that the President attended Chicago State University and graduated with first-class honours in Accounting.
He said he was familiar with the institution, having visited it several times, and noted that the university had hosted the President.
When asked whether he had personally met Tinubu’s former classmates at the institution, Alausa confirmed that he had met several of them.
He further described Tinubu as a genius, saying the President’s intellectual ability and capabilities were beyond question.
Alausa also claimed to have met several of Tinubu’s classmates in person during his visits to the university.
Controversy has continued over claims concerning the President’s academic history and the institution he attended.
